My attempt at this week's Thursday Prompt. This week, the word for the prompt is 'worrying'.
Per always, please be sure to check
ThursdayPrompt for more.
Hadn't originally planned something quite like this one but I thought maybe it could work. Unfortunately, while I think it still could work, I don't think I did a very good job with it. Aw well, add it to the pile that needs further revisions and review, I suppose.

In James defence, there moment's in life where you have to accept it's out of your hands and you have no power to do anything about it but hope for the best; whether this is one of those moments is up for debate.
I really need to catch up on this series, I missing out on so much.

Whether it be God's plan or just the will of an unfair universe, some things just can't be helped. Seems Juliana's convinced that this is not one of those things though.
I do appreciate the thought, but you're really not missing much when it comes to my stuff so you don't have to worry too much about that.
Thanks much for having taken the time to give this one a read, very much appreciate that.

I'm thrilled to hear that the ending did something, the immediate follow up to that is what I had originally planned next for this story but the prompt word this week didn't really fit in my opinion. I am also grateful to hear you say that you thought this came out well enough; I still feel that perhaps with a bit more thought it could have easily been improved.
I'm grateful that you would take the time to read over this one, thanks much for that.

James is definitely lucky to have her around; sometimes a bit of tough love is just what we all need.
Whatever could you mean by that? Surely they've gone out for a bite and saw a movie so they could formulate a sound plan for rescuing O-13E! ... Surely?

My apologies once more for taking so long to get around to looking at these.
Glad to see this series continuing. Man, I think I would have snapped on Juliana if I were James, even though I find her tenacity to be admirable. In the end, it seems as if her intervention wasn't misplaced. Our man James here was about one cup of coffee away from full defeat on this one.
Interestingly, while Juliana had me mildly irritated on James' behalf, the ending made me respect her and her efforts more. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

You know you don't need to apologize for it, I'm simply grateful you'd give it a glance in the first place!
I am glad to hear you approve of this series, I really didn't have much in mind for it when I first started it but it has been fun expanding upon. I can also see why you'd say Juliana is a bit of a frustrating character; she's just as lucky to have James as he is to have her given he can actually endure her abrasiveness! I am also glad to hear that despite her initial harshness, she did come back around a little bit by the end; she's just not the best at being sensitive or reading the room.
While you know you don't need to worry about taking time to getting around to these, let alone taking any time for them at all, I am very grateful that you would do so anyways. Thanks much for giving this one a read.
